The photographs above were taken in March of 2003.  The photographs below were taken at the same site in August of 2007.  The language used, and what has happened to this site should offend and outrage people.  This site has not been on our "Public Sites" list, but maybe by letting more people know of this site, it may increase visitation and possibly help stem destruction like what is shown in the pictures below.  Some experts say "Don't let the public know about sites because this is what will happen".  Other professionals are of the opinion that "Education is the key to Preservation".

The graffiti below was done in chalk not in paint and has since been cleaned up by a combination of heavy rains and possibly a clean up crew.  I am leaving the photographs below as a reminder of how easily a rock art site can be destroyed.
